Last Episode... Ever?

Ok, the front page says Episode 8 is the last episode ever.

As in, forever? No more fist?

I fuckin' hope not! Double the Fist is the single greatest comedy on the face of the earth, and should in no way be ended!

I know online petitions are weak, but they did work once before! I started a "Keep Double the Fist On the Air" Facebook group - I know facebook is weak as piss but it's still worth a shot. Join the group, and keep DTF on the Air, or I'll eat your cat!

You can eat my cat anytime. 'Course, you'll have to dig him up first, but that should be no barrier to a man who'll scull vomit.

I'm a bit conflicted here - the end of Fist means I'll be free from giving a fuck about anything much on TV. That has to be a good thing, except that it involves the end of Fist. That's seriously on a par with the end of 'Deadwood', which until now had my vote for best dialogue ever.
The end of Fist - the end of gleeful anticipation - the end of me rofl while my housemates quietly go 'hnh, hnh, hnh'.
The end of the sick fascinated joy and the terrible admiration.

Foremost among my shallow life goals comes the desire to be amused and entertained.
Double the Fist, I salute you.

Of course, being a modern human (meaning self-centric as a gyroscope) I want more. BUT...

Personally, I think it takes real strength to know when to leave the ring. (Fuck, a sporting analogy - what next, am I gonna grow a penis?)
Maybe, after the final episode, we'll be left thinking that was SO fucking mighty that there is nowhere left to go that wouldn't be anticlimactically pissweak and disappointing?
The Fist Team haven't been afraid to 'smile & drop the cliche', (or even subvert the fuck out of it) but I'm betting that what we WON'T get is... 'and they all lived happily ever after'.

There's leaving the ring a champion, and then there's leaving the ring a contender. Double the Fist hasn't lived up to its true potential yet, and so much more could be done with it. Fans fought like hell to get it back, and I'll sure as shit fight like hell to keep it.
