Are you sure that's black-lung disease??

I thought black-lung was anthracosis, caused by breathing in carbon (coal) dust. whereas pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis is obviously from breathing ultra-microscopic (i.e. smaller than visible via light microscope) grains of silica, which is very distinct from carbon, for one- silica is clear when the lung is transected, whereas carbon is noticably black, and cannot be bleached...

anyway, the word is kind of stupid, because it starts with "pneumono" (of the lung) and then ends in "coniosis" (disease pertinent to the inhilation of particles)... so it's kind of redundant.

Anyhow...

it's still a good word.
